Our new topic for this term is Our Sustainable World.
Your child will receive a homework and a maths basic skills book. These need to be handed in every Thursday and will be returned to children on a Friday.
The maths book will have a sheet at the front listing the skills your child needs to be achieving for their age. We will either give you a sheet to accompany a skill or the expectation is that you will pick and practise a skill at home with your child.
The homework book will have the termly topic homework for you to pick and complete some of the activities. Your child will receive either phonics or spellings every week to practise. Could you also please ensure your child is reading regularly at home- they need to be reading fluently in order to access the curriculum as they move up the school.
After school every Wednesday we have a library and homework club, this is the ideal opportunity for your child to catch up with reading and use a Chromebook to help with homework. It runs from 3.15-4.00pm. If you would like your child to attend and you are not able to stay with them please let the teacher know and you can sign a consent form. This can be done on a weekly basis.
We will update this page on a regular basis with information and links to help support your children with their homework.
