The internet is a great resource with many helpful tools that can aid our children with their learning. It is essential, however, to ensure that our children are safe at all times when browsing the web, accessing social media/ chat rooms, or playing online games (such as Fortnight and Minecraft).

To help our children stay safe when using the internet at school we have a range of in-built safety features and child-safe settings. All computer work is monitored and we encourage our pupils to tell an adult immediately if they come across anything they are unhappy with or if they receive any messages they do not like.

Keeping young people safe online can seem like a daunting task but having a conversation about ways to keep safe is a great start. Sitting down and making a family agreement with young people at home can also provide a platform for open discussion.
